The Fordite material used for this specimen display is VERY RARE because it is from the Corvette plant in Bowling Green, KY.  I have obtained Corvette Fordite material from two sources and can vouch 100% to its authenticity. NOTE: As far I can tell, no Fordite material has left the facility since around 2010-12. While I have a great deal of Corvette Fordite material on hand, sourcing for this material will become increasingly scarce.

All of my specimens start with a selection process to assess the highest and best use for a piece of Fordtie material. Although my specimens sometimes start with a remnant from a cutting session for a pendant or other Fordite creation, they more often start as a chunk of material that is as it was when it was chipped away from the transport system. Either way, I try to preserve as much of the formation as possible, while highlighting the patterns that are formed within. NOTE: This specimen is even rarer than most, because of the total absence of yellow or orange. The red is the star of this piece and works very well with the metallic gray, white and black.

This specimen is bonded to a hardwood base that was made by me in my own shop. I cut, sand and finish all of my own display bases and each one has a natural cork bottom to help prevent scooting and marring.

As with all of my work, this specimen display comes with a nice gift box, as shown in the last picture.

This specimen display has a 3.80 X 2.40 inch oval base and is approximately 1.40 inches tall.

Depending on the declared value of the package contents, you may be responsible for duties and handling charges, which can be VERY HIGH in some countries! It is your responsibility to know your own country's regulations and tax system.

Also, when shipping to International destinations, you may experience any number of delays. The most likely culprit will be your own country's customs agency. If you don't see your package within a reasonable length of time, you can contact me to track the package, HOWEVER, the USPS cannot track any package once it has left US soil. Once a package has left US soil, you must track it from your end.
