The Fordite material used in this pendant was from the Ford assembly plant in Wayne, MI (Detroit).

NOTE: The material used for this pendant is from an inventory of material that I amassed roughly ten years ago. Since that time, I have not found any more of this material from the Ford Assembly Plant in Wayne, MI. So, if it is important to you that the material came specifically from the Ford Plant in Detroit, MI, I have an ever-dwindling supply of that material.

I cut and polished this Fordite pendant stone myself from a piece of rough that was similar to that shown in the last picture. This stone is cut in a JDBL signature bulging trapezoid shape, and is among the more unusual pieces you will find. The faded appearance of the pattern is not due to age. This material appears to be many layers of tinted clearcoat. Ford has a history of using innovative painting methods, and tinted clearcoat is something they have done. If you're into the faded look, this is a sure fire winner!

About the pictures- All of my pieces are handmade and hand cut one at a time. As such, no two are alike. The pictures shown here are the exact piece you will be getting. The first two pictures shown here are two angles of the front side of the pendant. The third picture is the reverse side of the pendant.

I cut this stone for a Pearl Mounting.  This setup allows for wearing the pendant with either side showing, as well as giving the best possible views from all sides.

The bail is handcrafted in my shop and is Sterling Silver.

As with all my pendants, this pendant comes with a nice gift box.

The overall size (incl. bail) is approx.: 1.45 X .74 X .25 inches
